Frequently asked questions

To enjoy a comfortable, safe experience that respects nature and the bees, please keep the following points in mind:

Facilities
There are no toilets on site, so we recommend using the bathroom before you arrive.

Comfortable clothing
Wear suitable mountain clothing that is comfortable and allows you to move easily.

Mobile phones
Out of respect for the bees’ well-being, inside the “At the Heart of the Hive” shelter, please switch off your phone and place it in our protective anti-wave box for the entire session. At the end, you can collect it and take photos if you wish.

Beehive visits
Avoid perfumes or strong scents on the day of the activity, and do not eat bananas before coming. Wear a cap, tie your hair back and wear closed shoes to ensure safety and comfort during the visit.

Arrive with time and calm
Autèntic Experiences is a space to disconnect and reconnect with yourself. Come without rushing and with the desire to experience the moment fully, with presence and respect for your surroundings.

Safety and protection
Bees cannot enter the experience area. For both the inhalation and vibrational therapy sessions, the system is equipped with several layers of filters and protective elements, creating multiple barriers that completely prevent bees from passing through, while allowing only the natural air and vibrations to circulate.

The experience is 100% safe, with no direct contact with the bees, which continue their activity normally and peacefully.

Access and parking
Access to the facilities is easy and safe. You can drive up to the entrance of the path, where we will show you the available parking spaces. From the entrance of the path, it is about a 300-metre walk along a wide dirt track to the “At the Heart of the Hive” shelter.

If you have any mobility issues, we can pick you up at the entrance of the path and take you to the shelter.

Depending on the time of year, we also offer the option of leaving your car in Canillo and taking a bus up to the facilities — a comfortable alternative that is respectful of the environment.

All practical information is clearly provided before the visit.

Respect for bee well-being

The well-being of the bees is our number one priority. The facilities are designed so that they can continue their natural activity without stress or disruption. We work with responsible, respectful beekeeping that is aligned with natural cycles.

Weather conditions and safety

Indoor experiences: inhalation and vibration in the “At the Heart of the Hive” shelter
These activities can take place even when the weather conditions are not ideal, such as on rainy days, as the bees are all inside the hive, making the experience more effective and richer in benefits.

They will only be cancelled in the event of very severe weather that prevents safe access to the shelter or puts participants at risk.

Guided beehive visits: outdoors
Weather is a key factor, as this activity takes place outdoors. The visit may be cancelled or rescheduled in the event of bad weather, rain or unstable weather conditions, in order to ensure participants’ safety.

In both cases, Mat will contact the client as far in advance as possible to inform them and suggest a new date if necessary.

Allergies and safety

Experiences at the “Heart of the Hive” (inhalation and vibrational therapy):

There is no direct contact with the bees, so in general there is no allergy risk.

Hive air inhalation: Natural substances from the hive air are inhaled directly into the respiratory system, so people with known allergies to hive-related products will not be able to participate.

Vibrational therapy: This experience can generally be done without issue, although participants should be aware that the natural scent of the hive is present inside the shelter.

Guided beehive visits (outdoors):

It is mandatory to inform the beekeeper if you are allergic to bee stings. Access is not permitted for people with this allergy. Bees are living creatures, and despite all precautions, it cannot be guaranteed that stings will not occur.

The effects of a sting may vary depending on each person’s condition and sensitivity: pain, swelling, dizziness, circulatory problems and, in extreme cases, severe allergic shock.

We strive to ensure a safe and respectful experience. It is essential to follow the beekeeper’s instructions at all times.

Conditions and recommendations before your visit

The “At the Heart of the Hive” shelter maintains a pleasant temperature throughout the year, ensuring comfort during the inhalation and vibrational therapy experiences.

As we are located at an altitude of 1,875 metres, we recommend dressing warmly for the journey to the site in case of bad weather, so you can enjoy the activity comfortably without feeling cold.

Each person is unique, with different perceptions and rhythms. That is why we created the 10-session packages: to allow you to gradually experience how your body and mind respond over time.

These experiences help you reconnect with yourself and relearn how to listen to your body and its needs.

The first session is included free within the package, allowing you to begin with confidence and at your own pace.

The scent you experience from the hive is completely natural and may vary depending on the season, the condition of the hive and the elements present, such as propolis, essential oils or royal jelly.

It is never artificial or altered.

This variety of aromas is part of the authentic experience we aim to offer.

The shelter is roomy, bright and private, meaning you will share the experience only with the people you choose. Large windows offer spectacular views and create a strong sense of openness.

The masks include small side openings, allowing you to breathe comfortably and naturally throughout the session.
